Website maintenance and AMC cost in India: what it should cover

• Backups: regular, tested, and stored away from the website server.
• Security and software updates: CMS, plugins, libraries and server patches.
• Uptime monitoring: someone gets an alert when the site goes down, before your customers tell you.
• Domain and SSL renewals: tracked so they never lapse.
• Form and checkout checks: enquiries and payments tested regularly.
• Small content updates: offers, prices, team changes, new projects.
• Speed and SEO health: a quarterly check with PageSpeed Insights and Google Search Console.

2. Response time for "site is down" vs normal requests.
3. Where backups are stored, and when a restore was last tested.
4. Who owns the hosting, domain and code (it should be you).
